Episode Summary
- Ben & Susan are eating breakfast when Michael bursts in followed by Abi, in her bathrobe. She accuses him of deliberately bursting into the bathroom whilst she was showering. Janey rings and sounds depressed. Ben agrees to go and visit her when Susan tells him she is thinking of dropping out and coming back home. Ben is driving too slowly until Susan tells him that unless he hurries up Janey will have left. They arrive and knock on Janey’s door in the Hall of Residence. Janey is not pleased to see them and doesn’t invite them in. We hear two boys inside. They sit in the car and eat kebabs, Ben is all for going straight home. Susan suggests they stay in an hotel, and pretend not to know one another. They arrive at the hotel and book in as Delores De Large and Johnny Studd! Back at home, Michael is in the way while Abi is entertaining Big Michael for dinner. In the restaurant/bar, that night, they manage to make each other jealous. They sit at separate tables. One of the guests, Raymond, sends a bottle of champagne over to Susan. Ben also sends a bottle but it’s house fizz. At home Abi is trying to have an intimate dinner with Big Michael. Michael won’t leave them alone. Michael tells him that Abi is his Mum. Ben introduces himself as Sylvester Steele, Susan is Dolores DeLarge, a supermodel. Ben is called away to the phone, although no one knows he exists! Raymond comes over and asks if Ben is bothering Susan, and tries to pick her up. The hotel are confused as Ben is signing everything under the name of Sylvester Steele and his credit card says Ben Harper. Ben explains that he and Susan are playing a game of not knowing each other. The hotel receptionist says that Ben and Susan are not alone, that there are lots of couples doing this all the time. Meanwhile, Raymond is still trying to pick Susan up. He drops his key card into her handbag. Susan has been drinking and is quite tiddly by the time Ben returns. Ben comes back to the table and Susan gives him a card key and says not to keep her waiting long. Big Michael tells Abi that she should contact him when she gets out of therapy! We see Ben enter the room, He undresses and gets into bed waiting for Dolores, when Raymond comes out of the bathroom naked. Ben has gone into the wrong room! They both scream. We see Ben in a police station, he has been arrested for Indecent Exposure, and is put in a cell overnight with a thug. Ben arrives back in Susan’s bedroom the next morning, Susan had drunk too much champagne and been sick. Flowers arrive and they are from Raymond, only they are for Ben. We see Ben and Susan arrive home, Abi has tied Michael to a chair.
