S06E06 – An Embarrassment of Susans

Episode Summary
- Alfie is sleepwalking and with the help of Ben ushered out of the house. Susan feels down, all her ‘babies’ are finally flying the nest. Michael is off to a military weekend and Janey is clearing out the loft so she doesn’t have to come back any more. Ben is thrilled to have the house to themselves. Abi is off to spend the weekend with Roger, to watch videos. Ben and Susan think Roger may be gay. Ben and Susan are struggling to find things to talk about when a stray dog comes in through the front door. Ben would like Susan to inform the police about the dog, but Susan wants to keep him. Alfie, who returns having been beaten up at an audition for Liam Gallagher’s turns out to be a bit of a dog whisperer! Ben’s pizza disappears from the oven and he blames the dog. Ben goes off to the pub and we see Michael taking the pizza upstairs to his regiment who are hiding out in the attic. Abi becomes convinced there may be truth in the rumour about Roger’s sexuality and Roger becomes very upset and slams out to go to Mykanos! Ben’s beers go missing from the fridge and he blames the dog again. Susan is looking for an original teddy bear, worth hundreds of pounds, and it seems Ben has mistakenly taken it to the charity shop. Roger returns and they make up. Roger has come to a momentous decision, Roger tells Abi he will kiss her at some stage over the weekend. Ben goes back to the charity shop and has to pay £350 to retrieve the teddy. Ben decides to incriminate the dog just to get him into trouble with Susan. Sergeant Wragg comes round looking for Michael who has gone missing with his regiment. Whilst Ben and Susan keep him occupied, we see the unit creep out of the front door. The dog has to be taken to the vet, and we are led to believe his life is in danger after eating the head of the Teddy . Ben and Susan are very upset The moment has finally arrived and Roger and Abi kiss. The dog is returned to his owners, but comes back to collect his blanket!
