Ben tries to pick the lock on his drinks, with no success! Nick is trying to mend the boiler, but when Ben investigates he was only performing background action. Ben decides to get a proper plumber, but can’t and we see him trying to fix the boiler instead. Michael frightens Ben with a cross bow and Susan tries to tell Ben what to do with the boiler. It explodes, and all the lights go out too. Finally they employ an electrician, as they sit in the cold and the dark. Nick has a torch, and even Michael comes down and is afraid to go back upstairs. Susan has asked the electrician who is also a carpenter to give her a quote to turn Nick’s room into a nursery, as the lights come back up we see Ben getting ready to strangle her. Roger Bailey has finally managed to move in to the surgery upstairs, and Ben gives him yet another of Mr Beamish’s elderly patients to get rid of him. At home later, Ben has broken the cupboard door off to get to the drink, and Nick has replaced the contents with cold tea, a little show biz trick!
