Episode Summary
- Susan has a bowl of condoms on the breakfast table, so that Michael is at home with his sexuality. Michael is far from impressed. Abi arrives at breakfast and has fallen off the toilet seat again, Ben promises to fix it. Susan’s mother phones and she invites herself for dinner. Ben is horrified. Roger brings an elderly patient in and Ben sorts her out. Ben asks him for a favour in return. He asks him to tell a lie and call the house at 6.30. Later that evening Ben keeps waiting for the phone. Ben pretends Roger is on the phone and that he is saying there is an emergency at the surgery. Roger arrives in person on the doorstep. Ben shoves him out of the door. Ben still continues to say he has to go and help at the surgery. Meanwhile we see Nick at his flat. Ben turns up uninvited with pizza for himself to get out of being with Susan’s mum and Karaoke night at the pub. Nick blackmails Ben into giving him the pizza. Back in the family home, Susan shows her mum round the house. She is not impressed with the condoms either. While in the bathroom, Susan’s mum falls off the broken loo seat. Ben arrives home late and gets into bed with Susan, starts to make love to her, but it turns out to be her mother. He flees downstairs and finds Susan on the sofa. He is very upset. Her mother had to stay as she hurt her leg falling off the loo seat. Susan thinks it is hysterical. Susan starts to question what will happen to her Mother when she does become incapable of fending for herself. The next morning, Susan tells Ben she has to work on an ‘emergency’ tour. Ben is left to look after her. Also to take her mum breakfast in bed. Susan’s mum makes him feel terrible. Ben gets fed up and goes back to see Nick, in his flat, where Nick makes the rules. Susan’s mum is causing everyone in the house to feel stressed. Michael offers to give Abi a massage so long as she is naked. Susan has a heart to heart with Michael, about looking after her when she gets old. Susan then has a chat with her mother, and like Ben decided to go out. Michael takes a girl back to Nick’s flat, only to find that not only is Nick in, Ben is in residence too! Abi arrives with the broken toilet seat. Then Susan turns up and they all hide. Nick goes home and catches his granny red handed, she has not hurt her leg. He offers to stay and look after her so she leaves. Ben can’t get Susan’s mother’s face out of his head, and it puts him off Sex.
