Episode Summary
- Susan is taking home cooked ‘goodies’ from the fridge up to Janey at University. She is going to see her for the weekend. She leaves Ben a long list of chores. Which he throws away the minute she leaves. Michael wants money for a school trip. Ben is going to play golf with Gerald. Abi returns after an all night party. She lies on the floor in the hall and Ben comes out of the cupboard, with his golf clubs and trips over her. He twists his ankle. He is determined to carry on with his golf, bad foot or not. Nick enters wearing a bra, looking for Susan’s red dress. He has a job as a female impersonator. He has three spots a week. Susan arrives at Janey’s room and Janey is horrified. Abi brings Ben some chicken soup and he puts his foot in it. It burns him. Nick comes in all dressed up and wigged and promptly drinks the soup. Michael puts on a video, Misery, a film about a man trapped in a room until he does as he is told. Gerald rings and Ben says the game is still on. Michael locks him in until he says he will pay for the school trip. Janey meanwhile, tells Susan she can’t stay in her room. Susan suggests taking Janey for a meal. To the canteen. Ben meets Gerald in the pub, Nick enters dressed as a girl, pretends he is Ben’s girlfriend and chaos breaks out. Susan starts a food fight in the canteen. Nicks confidence was knocked when the boys in the bar called him pug ugly. Abi decides he should wax his face. Janey is mortified that her mother started a food fight. Ben has a golf match with Gerald, and loses. We see Susan having a shower in the University shower block. When she hears a boy in the next cubicle she thinks she is in the wrong block, and pretends to be a boy. The boy in the next cubicle turns out to be Janey’s date for the night. Nick now has wax on his face, but they don’t know how to get it off without it hurting. Ben re- couperates on the sofa, Nick holds ice cream on his sore face. Abi returns all dressed up as she has been standing in for him at the club. She sits down and cracks Ben’s hand. Ben is in bed asleep, when Susan returns, Ben knows she has been sent down by the Dean. Ben tells her about his weekend!
