Episode Summary
- Ben arrives at the office to be told by Roger that a Richard Harper is coming to see Ben. Ben explains that he is Abi’s father. Roger is thrilled as he sees him as his future Father in Law. Ben decides to leave so he doesn’t have to meet him, but Richard turns up before Ben can leave. He wants Ben to be his best man at his wedding. When Ben tells Susan he has agreed to be the best man, Susan is worried about how Abi will take it. Ben says he will tell her. Michael is on strike about doing the washing up. Ben tries to tell Abi, but Susan ends up doing it! The washing up is piled high now, like a massive game of Jenga. Susan is still waiting for Michael to do it. Ben is writing his best man speech, and he is stuck. Nick offers to help him with the plans for the stag night. Michael and Nick have a heart to heart, and then they arm wrestle for who should do the washing up. Nick loses! Abi is very upset with Ben for agreeing to be Best Man. Nick and Ben plan the stag night. Abi explains to Susan that her father’s bride is three years younger than Abi herself. Susan decides she will not go the wedding, and plans to have a hen night alone with Abi. Susan is very wound up with Ben because the bride to be is so very young and she wants him to cancel the stag night. The night of the stag night arrives, there is no food, no booze and no music, and half the people who are there are at the wrong event and they leave. Richard is not impressed. Ben rings Nick and he says there is a stripper in the cake, but Ben explains the cake is not here!! Nick says he will track the cake down. Richard tries to leave but Ben begs him to stay. Abi and Susan are at home getting drunk when Nick comes in and begs one of them to go inside the cake. Back at the stag do, Ben is doing bird impressions, then he introduces Roger Bailey’s Menagerie of Rubber. Two heavies arrive to arrest Richard for car fraud. Susan is by this time dressed up and inside the cake, refusing to come out. Ben, who doesn’t know it is her is on the mobile trying to persuade her to come out. Susan pops out but she is at the wrong party. A large man with a pipe pops out of the stag night cake!! Back at home, Susan is pleased with Michael who has cleared up the kitchen, but when Susan opens the cupboard all the dirty plates fall out.
