Episode Summary
- An argument between Ben and Susan in the bedroom, causes them to re-visit earlier times. Susan is in bed reading, Ben comes into the room acting sheepish and asks if she’s angry with him, she tells him she isn’t and that she forgives him. He gives Susan her favourite chocolates to cheer her up, she opens them and realises he has bought her Turkish Delight, she HATES Turkish delight! Susan flips and throws the chocolates back at him. He tries to kiss and make up and he reveals Susan with her leg in plaster. She tells him to leave her leg, as he’s already caused enough trouble and it’s the one thing he’s good at… RECAP OF PREVIOUS SCENES FROM EARLIER EPISODES HERE. Back in the bedroom… Ben is angry with Susan for bringing up everything he’s ever done wrong. Susan tells him that her leg being in plaster was his fault, even though she forgave him, this is because he was listening to the football on the radio while she was loading the boot with shopping and he ran her over. Ben tells her that she is enjoying being a martyr… RECAP OF PREVIOUS SCENES FROM EARLIER EPISODES HERE. Back in the bedroom… Ben says he hates the way Susan argues; Susan agrees the same about him. He says that she argues the wrong way and always wants to win the argument rather than sort the problem out. She agrees, meaning Ben has won the argument. She thinks that Ben winning the argument doesn’t mean he’s right, it just means that he’s a good arguer! Ben replies saying she’s not making any sense, Susan agrees saying it must run in the family… RECAP OF PREVIOUS SCENES FROM EARLIER EPISODES HERE. Back in the bedroom… Susan believes that Ben will not leave her because he has got into bed with her. Ben tells her that he’ll leave her when he’s ready, not under her timetable! Susan says that she’ll leave him first, he disagrees saying she’ll never leave the house, being that it’s her domain, and that she doesn’t have anywhere to go. She tells him she still has her children! Ben thinks he can live with that… RECAP OF PREVIOUS SCENES FROM EARLIER EPISODES HERE. Back in the bedroom… The argument has reached the silent stage, they are both in bed reading and ignoring each other. Ben shuts his book suddenly making Susan jump, then he settles down to sleep leaving his bedside light on. Susan turns hers off and realises he has left his light on. She is about to ask him to turn it off, and thinks better of it, so she struggles to get out of bed with her leg in plaster and limps around the bed. Just before she reaches the light, he clicks it off and snuggles back down. Susan fumes and limps back round the bed to her side, as she gets into bed and settles, Ben turns the light back on. Susan is furious and hits him with her plastered leg! RECAP OF PREVIOUS SCENES FROM EARLIER EPISODES Back in the bedroom… Ben starts tugging the duvet, as does Susan, they get into a fight with the duvet, ending with Susan making Ben fall with the duvet off the bed completely. Susan falls about laughing at him, and he clambers back on the bed, and starts to tickle her. She giggles and tells him not to, until she finally gives in and tells him to carry on… RECAP OF PREVIOUS SCENES FROM EARLIER EPISODES Back in the bedroom… We return to see them lying together on the bed, Ben thinks it would be a nice idea to have some champagne, he tries to move, but has pulled his back out. They call for the kids, and are about to call for Nick when they think better of it.
