Episode Summary
- Ben and Susan are watching TV when the doorbell goes and Roger arrives. He has come to ask Abi to go out with him. Abi and her boyfriend Steve come downstairs. They are off to Burger King, Roger is shattered. Susan wants him to talk about it but Ben thinks there is nothing to be said. Susan says Roger must make Abi jealous and get another girl. Ben thinks he should go away and join the foreign legion to get over it. Susan suggests some friends of hers for a blind date with Roger, but Ben says they are all terrible ideas. He will take on the problem of Roger’s love life himself, he is a man after all and all men must stick together. Ben tries to teach Roger how to dazzle and flirt with one of his patients, a Mr Hargreaves, who turns out to be more than happy to play the part of ‘Claudia’. Roger is not too good a the role play, but Ben turns out to be the master. ‘Claudia’ and Roger go off to the pub. Back at the house, there is a value measuring up the living room, and Ben and Susan think Michael may be selling the house. As Ben’s plan didn’t work for Roger and his love life, Susan decides to take matters into her own hands and organize a drinks party, for Abi, Steve, Roger and he is to find a girl to bring. Michael shows a couple around the house, he is testing the marked. Ben and Susan are staggered when Roger arrives for the drinks party with a beautiful, stunning girl, Sarah. She seems to good to be true and then Sarah comes onto Ben in the Kitchen. Ben discovers they met through Yellow Pages! Susan realizes she is a prostitute. Unfortunately Roger doesn’t know! He thinks she is an actress, a model and a masseuse. Ben tells Susan that Sarah came on to him and he is flattered until he also realizes Sarah is a prostitute. Susan thinks they should tell Roger, Ben doesn’t. Michael is showing Hubert round the bedroom, with a view to his buying it once he has sold his parents house. Roger is strapped for cash, he is still paying for dates with Sarah, Ben starts to explain but Roger is so excited he can’t bring himself too. Ben takes it upon himself to go round to Sarah’s house to ask Sarah to leave Roger alone because he is rather naïve, he discovers Sarah is a model, a masseuse and also an actress, Ben is relieved, then realizes that she is also a prostitute! Ben asks her to stop seeing him, but at £200 an hour Sarah thinks Ben is naïve too! Susan makes up ‘their’ minds to tell Roger, when he rushes in and tells them he knows, he got caught in a police raid at Sarah’s house. Roger and Abi bump into one another and swap disaster stories about their dates. Susan tries to set Roger up with Vicki Crabshaw, a very unattractive friend of Susan’s, but Roger is not her type. The removal men are in, removing the furniture. They call for Michael.
