Episode Summary
- Ben and Susan are preparing for Roger and Abi’s pre-wedding party. Roger arrives with flowers from his mum who can’t come to the wedding and he has a panic attack. when Susan mentions the wedding. Abi’s mother, Shelley is at the party chatting up all the men including Ben. Janey is depressed, no one has remembered it is her birthday the next day and she has to spend it as a bridesmaid in a dress like a toilet roll holder. Michael and Alfie fancy the same girl. Shelley tries to seduce Ben in the kitchen! Later that night Abi has pre-wedding nerves. Ben tries to help her with advice on marriage. He is pleased with himself. The morning of the wedding arrives, Janey thinks she looks like a princess from Shrek and gives statics shocks to everyone who touch her. Abi is late arriving at the Church. The feud between Michael and Alfie carries on. Janey by now has hair sticking right up because of the static, to make matters worse her boyfriend dumps her on her mobile. Abi finally arrives but instead of walking down the aisle she rushes in through the side and it is left to Ben and Roger to walk down the aisle. When it comes to saying I do Abi can’t do it, she says Ben knows why and rushes off to the vestry to chat with Susan. Ben tries to shrug it off and blame if on someone called Ken. Roger passes out! Abi thinks she will be just like her Mum and that she will run off eventually and also that Ben had told her Marriage was like being in a boxing ring. Back in the Church the organist is trying to keep things together and Ben tries to be re -assuring. Janey is now very drunk. Michael and Alfie leave to discuss their differences in the toilets and the girl follows them in and overhears them talking, she thinks they are both gay and should come out. Susan talks Abi back into marrying Roger. Abi returns to the Church just in time to stop Roger and Ben fighting, and they are finally married. Roger is too emotional to read his own rambling vows so gives the job to Ben. Susan reads Abi’s. Back at home Ben and Susan give Janey her birthday present and she tells them she will be moving back in now Abi has gone!
