Episode Summary
- Ben uses Alfie as a remote control for the tv because the batteries have gone! Titles Susan’s mother is coming to visit and show her holiday snaps, and Susan has to lock Ben in to stop him escaping! Susan’s mother shows pictures of her wedding which Susan knew nothing about. Michael has applied for the family to appear on the Weakest Link and they have been accepted. Susan has to talk Ben into appearing. The family arrive in the Weakest Link Green room for their briefing where they all showing signs of nerves by having to visit the loo one by one. Anne Robinson introduces the show and the family introduce themselves for the beginning of the Weakest Link. Janey uses it as a dating show until the floor manager calls ‘cut’! Abi is the first to be voted off quickly followed by Roger. Who is clearly upset he cried on National television. Janey is then voted off and visibly upset as she enters the green room to watch the others….matters are not helped when Kenzo is the only one the green room to answer one of the questions…. Susan upsets Grace by being unkind to her and Grace comes out with the fact that Susan was married previously in Las Vegas in 1973. Grace admits she is a loose cannon after a few drinks after she has been voted off and doing her piece to camera in the interview room. Ben is visibly annoyed and the next round becomes a shambles as the family do not listen to Anne’s questions, they carry on their argument., even Michael is upset about Susan and fails to answer a question. They all vote Susan off, and as she leaves the set Ben chases after her in the middle of the programme. Susan hides in the green room and when the floor manager demands he go back on or be sued for the cost of the recording Ben has to go back to the set. Ben asks to be voted off and when Ben catches up with her in the green room they have a set too. The family think they should rally round and see if they can help until they notice the boys going head to head in the final round. Susan flatters Ben into a truce as a triumphant Alfie walks past followed by a rather demoralised Michael. That night back in the bedroom Ben will not leave the marriage to Troy alone and says wrestling is all fake, Susan throws him on the bed.
